Tail of the Lion
The fourth book of The Age of Psiber Knights series by Thomas John Moscato. This image was illustrated by Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz (You can visit his work here http://www.unstage.com/2010/05/illustrations-by-jeffrey-chamba-cruz/). While I was told to use his image I had to make a couple of enhancements to the image itself. Provide more contrast where it needs it. Also I had to erase the background from the image to provide a comic book feel. I incorporated the title of the series and the name of the book on her hair. It almost reminds me of a map of a country. I used Manson typeface, made famous by controversial Graphic Designer Jonathan Barnbrook. Manson provides a medieval and sophisticated look to the image.
